Do not use one generic study-abroad checklist.
Your course, campus, nationality, application location and intake determine which instructions apply. Begin with official immigration and university sources, save the version you used, and keep dates beside every requirement.
Check the course and campus identifiers
Keep the course, provider, campus and intake from your offer and Confirmation of Enrolment together. Those identifiers should remain consistent across your visa, housing and travel planning documents.
Separate required cover from a living budget
Record overseas student health cover and other required costs separately from rent, transport, food and setup. Use current Study Australia and Home Affairs instructions for the visa route that applies to your circumstances.
Compare housing by the full contract cost
Weekly rent alone is not the decision. Compare contract length, upfront payments, utilities, room type, distance, transport and cancellation or replacement rules before you commit.
Questions to resolve before paying
- Do the provider, course and campus details match across documents?
- Which health-cover and visa requirements are written into the offer?
- What is due before arrival and what is due each week or month?
