Build the plan
Do not use one generic study-abroad checklist.
Your course, campus, nationality, application location and intake determine which instructions apply. Begin with official immigration and university sources, save the version you used, and keep dates beside every requirement.
Identify the institution and sponsor
Confirm the campus, awarding body, programme and the organisation responsible for the student visa or residence process. Keep the written offer and sponsor instructions together before booking travel or housing.
Budget by emirate and contract
Separate tuition, visa-related costs, transport, utilities, deposits and rent. Ask which costs are included in the housing offer and which are paid directly by the student or family.
Check the agreement and payment route
Read the room or tenancy terms, move-in rules, deposits, refund or cancellation language and payment recipient. If the accommodation is arranged through a partner, the final provider agreement controls.
Questions to resolve before paying
- Who is responsible for the student visa or residence process?
- Which costs are included and which are paid separately?
- What document proves the payment recipient and cancellation terms?
